Welcome aboard !

Don't hesitate to write in english, i'll translate.

What about your problem is concerned, I can't understand what it is... the translation is too bad to be understood.

Anyway I believe your modding is kind of a succes ! Projections are really bright for a 35w xenon bulb ! AWESOME !

Well I think I achieved maximum brightness with the 35 watt. Would a 55 watt xenon be a noticeable upgrade since it's not the bulb wattage that's important, but the alignment of the reflector? Has anyone done a upgrade like this? Also I am using a H9 bulb type, is there a shorter version of it, does anyone on allinbox prefer a different bulb? And last, why does the projection get brighter when I flip the projector over? (middle picture)

I have been thinking alot about the 55 watt xenon, but more importantly the bulb type. Right now I have a H9 bulb that has significant distance on the end of it. Something with a shorter end would not block some of the focus like the H8 or the H10. Here's what I mean.

Future 55 Watt H8

Should boost light output drastically with efficient optics and increased lumen output. I have found a 55 watt kit from DDM Tuning (US based e-retailer) for $50. Am I the only one who is upgrading from 35 watt to 55? If so I will try to take good comparison pictures for future reference on the forum.

Hi, well, as long as you manage to put the center of the xenon arc at the same place as the original lamp you will have good results. I'm not shure that the glass tube stops that much light.
It's the plasma arc size that matters (the smaller the better), if the 55w is not significantly larger than the 35w, you will have better luminosity.
OK, now i see ! You have more light when you turn it upside down ! The reds are better but the blue is washed out.
Maybe some parts are moving slightly when you flip it over, and you have better alignment.
It's a xenon auto kit that you plan to install ?
Anyway, very good result, seems good to me, turn off the lights and enjoy your movies !

Greetings, Allinbox. I finally got around to ordering a 55 watt xenon kit and it just arrived yesterday. Wow the 55 is a lot brighter just testing the lamp! I can't wait to try it out in the projector! Will post pictures soon.

Hello allinbox,
I finally have gotten around to align the 55 watt lamp in the LP600 and here are the results.

55watt 6000k Xenon projecting on 1.5-2m wall/projection distance 4m (other side of room). I ordered the 55watt slim ballast kit from www.ddmtuning.com. The slim ballast warms up very quickly (10-20 secs) over the 35 watt (45sec-1.5min). I kept the h9 bulb type.

Brightness and the color improved a lot over the 35watt xenon. Not bad for plain white wall projection! Movies are fantastic and immersive! I will never go back to 35 watts!

A friend gave me a 2005 Pentium 4 system, which is another project. I am turning it into an HTPC with xbmc and the projector. So far I have it playing 1080p movies with no hesitation (alot of help with the 8500gt gpu) with Windows 7.
