hi, i've modded a philips astaire projector with a 50w xenon kit, 6000k lamp.
 
after some test on bulb focus and calibration i've get a good luminosity,
 
but there's a problem with white:
 
the whites go on green...i dont't know why...
 
pheraps lumens are not enough???  
pheraps i must do a better bulb calibration ???  
 
 
any suggestion???

could it be that lamp is new and must reach 30 - 40 hours of work???

too much cooling means that you need to frozen ? the lamp
more upper...
but i make the same modification on a philips astaire with
xenon and i haven't got any green screen....

Maybe the speed of the fan is not enough...but...
 
Maybe just a idea :
Try to unplug and plug correctly the 3 LCD panel
one by one...
or simply try to touch the connection of the 3LCD panel
into the motherboard....
 
Maybe a bad contact ....

thanks, i've switched on lamp without switching on projector....and i can say that "green" is quite normal  light is a bit green    
pheraps lamp must reach 40 hours of work....  
 
vincent do you think xenon mod is better on DLP projector more than on LCD ones???
 
on dlp xenon mod  should be more luminous??? em i true?

Xenon is better on DLP because DLP need short arc lamp...
the xenon is about 4mm lengh and the Topost is 5-6mm.
 
I have to try Xenon on Infocus LP130 (DLP) i have try
also with topspot so i tell you what the difference
between this two light mode

Note: I think when you able to use topspot do it because
it is more simple to modify...xenon have little better result
(on my philips astaire modding) but not enought for the
price difference.
